We want to see our patients for dental cleanings at least twice a year because, we can be more precise and aggressive than patients can be at home. Daily dental cleanings are done to remove plaque, in office dental cleanings gets the plaque you missed, plus the hardened decay causing tartar or calculus that should be removed only be a professional hygienist so to not damage the enamel of your teeth.
